Yokohama Advan A052
Yokohama Advan A052
The Yokohama ADVAN A052 stands as an Extreme Performance Summer tire meticulously crafted for drivers utilizing their street-driven vehicles in high-performance driving schools, autocross, and open track events, seeking Yokohama's pinnacle level of DOT-approved performance. Like all Extreme Performance Summer tires, the ADVAN A052 is unsuitable for service, storage, or operation in near- and below-freezing temperatures, snowy conditions, or on icy surfaces.
The ADVAN A052 incorporates Yokohama's motorsports MS Compound into a track-ready, asymmetric tread design, delivering exceptional levels of grip. The low-void tread pattern features wide center ribs and an expansive outboard shoulder for maximum traction. The rounded tread profile evenly distributes pressure across the footprint, increasing contact with the road. Notches in the outboard micro groove enhance cooling for added durability and consistency on the track. Two wide, circumferential grooves and the notched inboard shoulder aid in water evacuation from the tread pattern, enhancing resistance to hydroplaning.
The tire's casing, composed of two plies of nylon cord, supports two wide steel belts beneath the tread, contributing to precise and responsive handling. Two spirally-wound nylon reinforcement plies enhance high-speed durability and reinforce the expected steering response from a track-capable tire.
Important Care and Usage Instructions: The ADVAN A052, developed with high-performance compounds that may become brittle at low temperatures, should not be used in certain conditions. Therefore, these tires must be stored or used only at temperatures at or above 14°F (-10°C) to maintain performance characteristics and prevent any damage to the tire or injury to persons or property.
