The Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS represents an Extreme Performance Summer tire tailored for sports cars, performance sedans, and enthusiasts participating in high-performance driving events, track days, and endurance-style competitions. Engineered to deliver exceptional levels of grip and precise handling on the street, it maintains this performance at race-pace on the track. As with all Extreme Performance Summer tires, the Potenza RE-71RS is not suitable for service, storage, or operation in near-and below-freezing temperatures, snowy conditions, or on icy surfaces.

Key Features of the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS:
The highly asymmetric pattern is crafted from a tread compound incorporating race-developed, high-grip polymers engineered to maximize dry grip. An optimized footprint effectively manages contact pressure under heavy cornering loads, ensuring a uniform distribution and allowing the tire to exploit every bit of available surface contact. This optimization also aids in preventing areas of acute heat generation, promoting even wear in competitive environments. The solid circumferential ribs are designed to provide quick and precise steering response at the limit during dynamic cornering events. The expansive outboard tread element features low-angle grooves to enhance lateral stiffness, ensuring consistent and predictable cornering traction. Strategically placed circumferential grooves are beveled to support the inboard ribs under intense cornering while maintaining sufficient area for hydroplaning resistance.

Internally, the Potenza RE71-RS features a robust two-ply polyester casing tuned for increased feedback and steering response. Twin steel belts provide a lightweight and durable base for the tread, supplemented by a nylon reinforcement ply for high-speed capability.

Note: Potenza RE-71RS tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower should gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before any flexing, such as adjusting inflation pressures, mounting on wheels, or supporting, rolling, or driving a vehicle.
